Established in Taicang in 2016, the company relocated to Changzhou in 2019 and established its own manufacturing facility. Leveraging the Group's nearly 40 years of global leadership experience, it specializes in the research, development, design, and production of hazardous material safety storage and handling solutions.

As a global market leader in occupational environmental protection and occupational safety, DENIOS China focuses on hazardous material safety storage, covering two main business segments: customized integrated systems and standard products. It provides tailored solutions for complex scenarios, including hazardous material storage, thermotechnology, and lithium battery storage. Standard products encompass safety cabinets, spill pallets, drum handling equipment, absorbents and leak management etc. All products comply with Chinese and international safety standards, serving industries including chemicals, lithium batteries, automotive, manufacturing, and education.

DENIOS China's New Factory Commences Operations

In July 2024, DENIOS China reached a significant milestone in its corporate development with the official relocation to its new premises at No. 33 Demao Road, Jintan District, Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province. This represents more than a mere change of location; it constitutes a pivotal step in the company's strategic development, signifying a steadfast commitment to its investment and growth in China. It further underscores DENIOS's dedication to deepening its expertise in the secure storage and management of hazardous materials. The new building represents the first phase of DENIOS' investment plan, with the overall project structured in three stages. The commencement of operations in this initial phase has laid a solid foundation for future development. The implementation of the overall plan fully demonstrates the Group Headquarters' high regard for and long-term confidence in the Chinese market, while also underscoring its robust corporate strength and commitment to deepening its investment and development in China.

To better align with the company's strategic development, enhance brand image, and further expand business scope, following careful consideration and completion of relevant legal procedures, ‘DENIOS Environmental Protection and Work Safety Changzhou Co., Ltd.’ has been formally renamed to ‘DENIOS Safety Equipment (Changzhou) Co., Ltd.’.

Leading the Development of Changzhou Local Standards to Promote Standardized Industry Development

In January 2022, the ‘DB 3204 Changzhou Local Standard: Safety Technical Requirements and Management Specifications for Hazardous Chemical Storage Cabinets’ was formally promulgated. DENIOS Environmental Protection and Work Safety Changzhou Co., Ltd. served as the principal drafting organization in its formulation. The development and implementation of this standard not only underscore the company's technical authority and leadership within the industry but also provides crucial support for refining and implementing relevant laws and regulations. This further advances the standardization and regulation of hazardous materials safety management practices.

DENIOS China Secures Ten International Patent Authorizations, Technical Capabilities Receive Authoritative Recognition.

In 2021, DENIOS China was granted ten patents in a single year by the State Intellectual Property Office, covering core technologies including cabinet fire resistance, leak prevention, and intelligent detection systems. This concentrated acquisition of patents represents a significant achievement stemming from our sustained investment in research and development. It signifies a new level of technological capability, provides tangible assurance for the efficiency and reliability of our products, and further consolidates our position as a leading specialist in the safe storage of hazardous materials.

In September 2016, Taicang DENIOS Environmental Protection Equipment Co., Ltd. entered into a partnership with the world's third-largest chocolate manufacturer, supplying its first Chinese environmental protection equipment, BMC-X 840. This collaboration signifies a breakthrough for the company's products within the high-end food manufacturing sector, establishing a market foundation for hazardous materials safety storage and handling.

THE DENIOS STORY

DENIOS was founded in 1986 in Germany, when Helmut Dennig innovated the very first oil spill pallet. One day, when changing the oil in his Volkswagen, he realized the need to take responsibility for the spilt oil. In the 1980’s people were often careless about these small oil spills, yet he was aware of the greater impact on the environment. Thinking ahead, he created a prototype container for collecting the oil - which today we know as the spill pallet.

While DENIOS was inspired by nature and passionate about its protection, it was an environmental disaster that was the catalyst for our founding.

An incident at the Swiss chemical company Sandoz, one of the biggest chemical disasters in Europe, occurred in the same year. The devastating results proved there was a massive, unaddressed need for the containment of hazardous materials.

Helmut Dennig grew his simple yet effective spill pallet prototype idea into a well trusted global company specializing in hazardous material storage and work safety products for many industries.

DENIOS now has 35 locations across the globe, with 6 major manufacturing sites, where we design and produce over 500 different models of the original DENIOS spill pallet as well as over 20,000 other work safety and environmental protection products.

In 2016, DENIOS entered the Chinese market, establishing its first branch in Taicang. With rapid business expansion, we relocated our China headquarters to Changzhou in 2019, establishing a modern production base and operating under the Chinese brand name ‘丹尼奥斯’ (DENIOS). DENIOS China draws upon the Group's extensive global technical expertise and safety philosophy, dedicated to developing bespoke hazardous materials storage solutions for the Chinese market that comply with both local and international standards.
